Body Series
The body is the first space we live in.
The Body Series approaches this quiet knowledge: that the body is not only form, but hold. Not only appearance, but the origin of identity. A place that carries us before we even begin to understand ourselves.
Nothing is idealised here.
The body is sheltered and vulnerable at once — boundary and permeability,
structure and feeling. A form that follows function and finds its
expression right there.
It grounds us.
It stores memory.
It holds us together when language is not yet enough.
In the repetition of lines, in the density of the gesture, no likeness emerges but a presence: body as state, not as depiction.
And then there are the lines — a play with time, holding our memories like selfies that fall out of time.
The Body Series does not ask what a body looks like.
It asks how it makes us possible.
